Resurrection! What is it?

Do you know? Resurrection is much more than what most Christians think.

Read to find out...

What is Resurrection? Is it just coming back to life from the dead? If you think it is nothing more than that, you have truly missed the very heart of it.

Note this! The Scripture undeniably tells us that Jesus Christ is the first one to come back to life from the dead.

Have a careful look at the following verses from 1cor 15: 20 - 23.

20 But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21 For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. 23 But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits...

Rev 1: and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth.

First fruits or the First born simply mean that He is the first one to come back to life from the dead. Is that true? Well the scripture clearly says so: "that the Christ would suffer, that He would be the first to rise from the dead..." (Acts 26:23) Hadn't anyone died and come back to life before Jesus did.

Our Lord had brought back the dead Lazarus to life before He went to the cross. He had made Jairus' dead daughter alive before He even tasted death. What about Nain's widow's son? He was quickened at the command of our Lord on his way to his burial. Hadn't they all come back to life from the dead before Jesus ever did. What about the incidents in OT? Didn't Elisha raise the Shunammite's son and his dead bones a dead soldier? (2Kings 4:18-37 & 2Kings 13:21)

In the light of those undeniable facts mentioned above, how can it be true that Jesus was still the first one to rise from the dead. It must be true because the inspired Scripture says so. But how can it be accepted by a rational mind like yours?
